LW ADULTS

We are all on a journey in life. A journey to choose the right career, find a spouse, raise our kids, land our dream job, become stable, and be comfortable in retirement. Somewhere in the mix of all that, our deepest desire is to grow closer to God. But sometimes that desire gets pushed to the back burner because of the busyness of the journey. We all struggle to keep God first. But what if we told you God doesn’t want to be first above all these other pursuits? What if we told you He wants to be right at the center? That everything you do would involve His direction and guidance? That every step you take no matter what you are doing would include Him? This is the invitation of the New Life Journey. We want to invite you onto the wild ride of becoming a disciple of Jesus who takes continual steps of transformation. A person who is so excited about how God is changing you that you can’t help but tell others and invite them to come with you. All of our New Life Journey experiences from small groups, to classes, to events are designed to help you become this person. Where will your journey lead?

LW STUDENTS

The Heartbeat of Epic:

Each week, students in grades 6-12 meet with their friends for Epic Student Ministry hangouts and events. During this time, they pursue God together while creating memories that last a lifetime. Through seven years of adventure, students are coached and equipped to follow Jesus for the rest of their lives. Our hangouts and events are infused with hilarious fun, sharpening friendships, guiding mentors, and life-changing conversations. We truly believe these will be seven of the best years of our students’ lives!

Tenacious:

By definition, tenacious means "to hold onto without letting go; or a persistent determination to do something." Our focus for the 2015-2016 school year is all about creating a Tenacious faith in Christ. When we unpack the elements that fueled the early church in the beginning of the Book of Acts, we discover ten characteristics that define a Tenacious life. Throughout the school year, we will be challenging ourselves one at a time to make these ten characteristics the defining elements of our own faith. In the end, we will develop a deeper maturity in Christ, a confidence in who He has called us to be, and an unshakeable witness to those around us.

Epic Jr. High

Epic Jr. High strives to celebrate the excitment and energy of students in 6-8th grade. We do this by pointing students' passion toward God while have a ton of fun together. Our main goal in Epic Jr. High is to launch students into high school as passionate disciples discovering their identity.

Sunday Mornings | Dalton & Massillon Campus | 9:30am-10:45am

Jr. High meets in the Student Ministry Room. These gatherings are intentionally formatted to promote learning and discussion that will deepen the faith that is being formed within them.

Wednesday Nights | Dalton Campus | Every Wednesday night from

7-8:30pm throughout the school year, Jr. High will meet at Living Water Dalton. These are high-energy, action packed evenings that will keep students excited about the journey they are on. There is a boat-load of different experiences, but they all follow the same monthly format:

1st Wednesday: Epic United (Jr. & Sr. High combined)

2nd Wednesday: Epic Jr. High (Student Ministry Room)

3rd Wednesday: Jr. High Small Groups (On Campus)

4th Wednesday: Epic Jr. High (On Campus, in the Shack)

5th Wednesday: Special Event

Wednesday Nights | Massillon Campus

Each Wednesday night is a combined student gathering for 6-12th grade from 7-8:30pm.

Throughout the year at both campuses, Epic Jr. High & Sr. High host events guaranteed to leave an impact! These events include movie nights, bonfires, hangouts, competitive team-building games, retreats, mission trips, service projects, summer camps, musica festivals, etc. You will rave about how much fun you have at our Epic Events!

Epic Sr. High

Epic Sr. High strives to guide students in 9-12th grade on their journey of discovering both who they are and what they have to offer. We do this by crafting environments designed to connect with friends, create memories, and have life-changing conversations. Our main goal in Epic Sr. High is to launch students into adulthood as confident servants pursuing their calling.

Sunday Mornings

Our strategy for high school students is aimed at integrating them in the life of the whole church body. Students are given responsibility to serve in ministry within every area of our church, they are given the freedom to belong in our adult gatherings and cafe discussion groups, and they are given permissions to discover God's plan for their life through New Life Journey classes or 1-on-1 meetings.

Wednesday Nights | Dalton Campus | Epic Sr. High gatherings are about reminding students that we are not alone in life and that we are always better together. Each Wednesday night from 7-8:30pm provides an excellent opportunity for Sr. High students to be heard, known, and loved.

1st Wednesday: Epic United (Jr. & Sr. High combined)

2nd Wednesday: Sr. High Small Groups (Off campus, in homes)

3rd Wednesday: Epic Sr. High (Student Ministry Room)

EPIC HANGOUTS

EPIC EVENTS

IN THIS TOGETHER

We recognize the incredible challenge and responsibility it is to raise young men and women. We champion everything that parents are doing to make this happen. We want our ministry to strengthen what happens within your family. All of our Epic Hangouts and Events are led by a team of experienced adult mentors who are trained to effectively disciple students. During this confusing yet exciting time of their lives, students need others to step in and offer guidance, celebrate joys, raise red flags, and simpy love them through each step. Epic comes alongside parents to provide role models and mentors for each student. Interested in volunteering with Epic? Contact Jason Boyer at jason@lwchurch.com.

LW KIDS

LW KIDS is our weekly environment created especially for your kids, ages birth through the 5th grade. We break it down into three areas to serve your kids:

INFANT - PRESCHOOL | SUNDAYS

We know things are busy at this stage of life and your children are learning and growing in amazing ways. We are ready for them...

We believe in an active, hands-on approach to learning with preschool children. So, you can plan on a lot of jumping, singing, dancing, and laughter in every experience. Be on the lookout for fun crafts and big games. We look forward to helping your preschoolers learn more about God. It is our hope your child will learn:

  • God LOVES me.

  • God MADE me.

  • Jesus wants to be my FRIEND forever.

ELEMENTARY | SUNDAYS

For elementary kids, we believe the Bible should never be boring, worship can be loud, and good leaders always care. Before kids head off to Jr. High, we want to make sure these three things stick:

  • I need to make the wise choice.

  • I can trust God no matter what.

  • I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

The focus for elementary is our small group environment. We want kids to see how God's Word fits into their lives, to learn how to talk to Him, and to build friendships that will last. That's why it's important to make sure your child connects with the same friends and leader each week.

SPLASH | WEDNESDAY NIGHTS | DALTON CAMPUS

SPLASH is where kids learn about God's Big Ideas! It is a weekly, one-hour, fun experience designed for Kindergarten through 5th grade kids. SPLASH includes a fun time of cool worship music, interactive multi-media, large group teaching, and small group time. It's a great place to invite new friends to come!  Once a year, families are invited to come and join their kids for a shared experience. Family Night is March 30, 2016.

Schedule: September 9, 2015-November 18, 2015 and January 6, 2016-April 27, 2016.

YOU ARE YOUR CHILD'S BEST TEACHER!

We believe what happens at home is more important than what happens at church. We encourage you to take what your kids are learning in LW KIDS and talk about it all week long. We make it EASY!

OUR VISION:
We are Real people, living Relevant lives, Relentlessly pursuing New Life in Christ.

We Are Living Water!

OUR VALUES:

We...

Believe in Truth

Walk with God

Move Forward by Faith

Live in Connection at LW

Impact our Neighborhood & World

Lead with Generosity

Extend Grace

Enjoy Life

Have you ever stopped to think about what makes up the very essence of Living Water?

  • What is at our core?

  • Why we do what we do?

  • Why we keep moving forward even in turbulent waters?

We have great people, great worship experiences, and great environments like the Connection Café and LW Kids, but that is not at the core. Each of these elements are a tremendous gift from God that allows us to live out our essence. So, what is at the core… (Drum roll please)…

We are a church that values New Life in Jesus Christ as our core message and vision.

We will pursue New Life with every ounce of our being, with our full effort and energy. With New Life, we are able to live, move, and have our very being in the presence of God. New Life puts us at the center of who God is and what He is doing. New Life is coming to know the forgiveness and freedom Jesus gives for the first time as well as every new step of insight, growth, and maturity in our new freedom. I want all of us to experience some aspect of New Life each and every week. The best way to describe our core is that we will:

Experience this New Life

Cultivate this New Life

We are a Multisite Church:

In 2013, we made the choice to become a multisite church. In May of 2015, we officially launched our new campus,

and we are now one church in two locations.  Why all the effort, energy, and change? So we can share New Life with others who

may never make the drive to the Dalton Campus or who may never connect with the majority of us who live in Wayne County. The Massillon campus puts us smack dab in the middle of a brand new population center where we can reach out to thousands of people with the message of New Life in Jesus Christ. The motivation to expand into Stark county was made for one reason: We are compelled to share the great things God has given us. Now we are growing by including many people who call Stark county home and it is awesome!  We are just in the infancy of this new campus. Please be praying as we venture into this new way of doing church. We trust God is being honored by our willingness to obey the call to go into all the world and make disciples!

Things to celebrate as a church:

  • God has provided an amazing facility and the people to launch the new campus. Thousands of volunteer hours and over $400,000 have been generously provided by our Heavenly Father through you.

  • We have launched a Women’s Ministry which has generated 11 new small groups on the Dalton campus and new groups to be launched on the Massillon campus.

  • We are impacting the community in Massillon through serving at events like the COOL project and Massillon Car Show.

  • We had amazing connection events such as the Pool Party, Picnic in the Park, and Newcomer's Lunches.

  • We held a parking lot sale on the Massillon campus that built bridges with the community as well as produced resources to buy much needed furniture and equipment at the Massillon campus.

  • The New Life Journey which intentionally helps people mature in Christ has been launched with Starting Point and Discover class experiences and the Equip class (coming soon).

  • We have two amazing worship teams at two locations.

  • We have our worship gathering online via livestream each week and average between 50 and 80 online worshippers every Sunday.

  • We have a New Life Sunday coming up where you will hear about significant life change and transformation from people at both campuses.

As we continue to learn this new way to do church, we are continually refining how we do what we do. The most important key to our success is to function in unity as we live out our vision of Christ for our church. A practical way this happens is through our Campus Pastors. Do you know your campus pastor? Do you know what they do?

A CAMPUS PASTOR...

  • Is responsible to implement the strategy of spiritual development at their campus (effective adult, student, and children's ministry)

  • Builds teams to carry out ministry

  • Is a pastoral contact for all the new people coming to the campus

  • Is a presence in the local community

  • Helps facilitate the worship gathering and brings the message every 4-6 weeks

- A Word from Lead Pastor, Mark Hirst

Jesus Christ has given New Life freely, but we must experience it for ourselves, we must share it with others, and we must cultivate the ground so we can grow to maturity as a community of believers.  The LW Vision and values clearly outlines the core of who we are as well how we will get there.  Everything that we do must come out of who we are.

NEW LIFE JOURNEY CLASSES

"My excitment at the Kingdom of Heaven being perpetuated through the acts of love, the community, the authenticity, and the holiness of the Christ followers of Living Water is why I am here. This is why I call Living Water my church."

Men's Ministry: Work As Worship | Oct. 1 - Nov. 5

Many men spend a great deal of time working and yet do not realize how their work intersects with their faith. God gives us our work, talent and skills so that through them we might worship Him. This six-part series will challenge men to consider the reason God calls us to work. It will cause you to consider why He may have you in your current position and encourage you to look beyond how your job makes you feel and see purpose and significance in your work. This series will take place on Thursday nights in the Connection Café at the Dalton Campus from 7-9pm,

October 1-November 5. No sign-up, just show up!

In the Life, Money, Legacy series, Dave Ramsey presents a biblical view of money in five entertaining, practical messages. Videos and discussions led by Trevor Hostetler, Certified Financial Planner, will teach participants how to handle their personal finances God's ways and how to build a lasting legacy that will transform generations to come. Sign-up at the Adult Kiosk at the Dalton Campus or by contacting John Grandy at john@lwchurch.com.

Those looking to join a small group can participate in a Starter Group Experience. This eight week experience is designed to enable participants to learn each other’s stories, explore what it means to live in community, and connect by creating an environment of authentic relationships, care, and life change. At the end of eight weeks, participants can decide if they want to continue with the small group or try another one. To be a part of a starter group, email your Campus Pastor to get more information!

Life. Money. Legacy. | Oct. 4 - Nov. 1

The Connection Cafe (formerly the Connection Pointe at the Dalton campus) exists to cultivate new friendships and further existing ones. Ultimately, a church is made up of a network of relationships with each other and we have intentionally invested in our café environments to help strengthen our connection with one another. We encourage you to go deeper with your current friends and get to know someone new each month as well.

Big News: On September 13th, the Dalton cafe is moving from a donation basis to a “pay per item” basis. The Massillon Campus has already used this system with great success and paved the way for the Dalton Campus to make the change. This change will allow us to offer new, quality products to continue the inviting environment in the cafe. Coffee & hot tea will remain free! Once we cover expenses for the cafe, we will give any additional proceeds to needs in the local community.

Feel free to let us know what food or beverage items you would like to see in the Café. It will help us to know what new products to introduce as we move forward!
